Bioinformaticians receive SURFnet award from Minister Plasterk

Péter Horvatovitch  (University of Groningen, NBIC) and Bas van Breukelen (University of Utrecht, NBIC-NPC) won the “Enlighten your Research” -award for their proposal “High Speed light path network for the Netherlands Bioinformatics for Proteomics Platform”. Albert Heck Guest Professor Systems Biology, ETH Zürich

The Rectorate of the ETH Zürich  has appointed NPC scientific director Albert Heck as guest professor Systems Biology. As of March 1st 2010 Heck will work for 5 months as guest professor at the Institute for Molecular Systems Biology, headed by Ruedi Aebersold.
